Jungle was established by Tom McFarland and Josh Lloyd-Watson. The pair had been companions since they were nine years of age, where they lived adjacent to each other in Shepherds Bush, London. They both went to Latymer Upper School, and played together inside of various diverse gatherings, one of which, Born Blonde, saw some achievement. 

They went ahead to frame Jungle toward the start of 2013, putting a tasteful accentuation on the music's encompassing fine art and recordings, and not on the sets' own character, (McFarland and Lloyd-Watson came to be known as J and T). Throughout the next year Jungle added to its inclination as a group by working with various specialists crosswise over assorted controls. To perform the music live, Jungle extended to a seven-piece band, fronted by J and T. The pair wished to test themselves, opposing the enticement to just re-deliver their music from their portable workstations, and rather made an interpretation of their melodies into a full and natural live experience. J and T have clarified that Jungle originated from a yearning for 'trustworthiness… genuine association and fellowship. It's about being in a group and aggregate vitality…
